Mills Builder Inc. is hiring a full-time carpenter to join our expanding team. The Mills Builder team works on a variety of projects including custom new home construction, renovations and additions as well as miscellaneous construction assignments on residential and commercial job sites. Our primary focus is custom new home construction, but we also take on custom framing projects occasionally as well. We are well scheduled into the future with no shortage of work. We operate organized, clean jobsites with an emphasis on producing high quality results.

About The Position:

· Work is wide ranging primarily in custom new home construction. Tasks will be dependent on your skill set but may include rough framing, finish carpentry, miscellaneous site works, all types of exterior cladding, heavy equipment operation as well as co-ordination, set up and assistance with our trusted team of sub-trades.

· At a minimum must be able to work independently on either rough or finish carpentry. Must be able to work within a team atmosphere and will regularly work with 1-5 other Mills Builder employees depending on the project and task at hand.

· Typical hours are 7:00AM-4:30PM Monday to Friday, with the option of additional hours available- but is not expected.

· Our working radius is typically within an hour or less of Coldwater (Innisfil to Muskoka, primarily along the 400 corridor).

· Holidays are paid with accruing vacation pay in addition (4%).

· Salary: $24.00-$34.00 per hour dependent on experience.

Requirements:

· Minimum 3+ years of construction experience.

· Working at heights training is an asset.

· Own set of hand tools/ basic PPE.

· Valid driver's license (G or G2) & reliable transportation.

· Able to work in variety of locations and conditions in a team structured atmosphere.

· Candidate ideals must align with that of Mills Builder. Must enjoy what you do for a living, treat people with respect, be organized (attention to detail), and take pride in your work.
