ELECTRICAL DESIGNER / ENGINEER

The position responsibilities are as follows:

• Develop and maintain electrical designs per order requirements,
• Create manufacturing plant drawings and B.O.M’s for our equipment in accordance with industry standards, government legislation and customer requirements,
• Adhere to project schedules in order to meet product delivery requirements.
• Assist Sales representatives in reviewing and determining electrical specifications at the quotation stage,
• Assist in sourcing and selecting purchased components best suited for the application,
• Program PLC’s,
• Provide technical support to other departments and customers,
• Travel to customer locations to assist in commissioning manufactured product or assist in on site troubleshooting,
• Be eligible to travel outside of Canada as many of our customers are outside of Canada.
• Work within expected company standards regarding ethics, safety, quality, productivity, and environmental matters.

The preferred candidate will have:

• A degree / diploma in electrical engineering and have or working toward a recognized professional engineering designation,
• Previous experience in the design and programming of industrial control systems
• Working knowledge of Hydraulic Systems and OT networks.
• Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, Solidworks, and PLC software (ParkerIQAN / B&R).
• A proven track record demonstrating the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively within a team environment.
