RMC is a young and progressive Commercial General Contractor serving the Southern Ontario/GTA community with project ranging from Norfolk County, Brampton, Orillia, Barrie, Muskoka, Kingston and the GTA. We are looking for a well-rounded, charismatic and hard working full-time working Site Supervisor with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Site Supervisor.

The Site Supervisor is responsible to plan, schedule, and oversee all facets of their assigned projects including daily sub trade check-ins and management. They are also responsible in ensuring overall site safety, site cleanliness, quality assurance, documenting sub-trade and/or supplier delays, documenting and escalating site issues that warrant changes or site instructions, and other duties as assigned.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Schedule and Supervise trades daily
• Ability to read and interpret various division drawings (architectural, mechanical, electrical, structural)
• Manage sub trades on site to ensure project schedule is maintained
• Assist in preparation of high-level project schedule
• Log daily report documenting construction progress, site conditions, inspections, issues, trade delays, etc
• Issue RFIs (Requests for Information) in a timely manner to relevant stakeholders
• Ensure the overall health & safety of the project site
• Coordinate meetings with relevant stakeholders (City officials, clients, project managers, etc) as required
• Coordinate with the landlord, property management group and/or client as required throughout the project life cycle
• Liaise with support teams as required
• Ability and willingness to drive to multiple sites as required throughout Southern Ontario
• Maintain a clean and safe site
• General carpentry work, hanging doors, door hardware, minor patch/repair of drywall, minor deficiency clean up, etc.
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience
• Carpentry skills (mandatory)
• Valid G license and own vehicle
• Able and willing to drive throughout the GTA and Southern Ontario as required
• Able and willing to stay overnight throughout the GTA and Southern Ontario as required
• Able and willing to work overnight (6:00pm-2:00am) and on weekends, if required
• Full understanding of trade scopes, scheduling and coordination of work
• Familiar with Ontario Building Codes
• Familiar with Ministry of Labour requirements and Ontario Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations (OHSA)
• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook & Word)
• Must be client facing
• Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking)
• Able to read and interpret drawings (architectural, mechanical and electrical minimum)
• MS Project (ideal - not mandatory)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $35.00-$50.00 per hour
