Palcam is the first choice tooling supplier for the aluminium die casting industry. This industry has a very strong outlook as more and more auto manufacturers are turning to aluminium die cast components in order to both save money while also improving the overall quality of the vehicles.

What does this position look like? You would be responsible for operating one or more 5-axis milling machines, which entails 2D related operations (drill / tap, deep hole gun drilling, etc.), unattended 3D milling operations, and in machine inspection using probes.

We expect all of our operators to be well versed in:

• Must be very fluent in English (both speaking and writing),

• CAD/CAM for both posting as well as program modifications,

• Setup and operation of 5-axis machining centers,

• Experience Heidenhain 530 control,

• Must have a solid understanding of all milling operation such as 2D milling, 3D milling, and 5-axis milling,

• Must have a solid understanding of cutting tools geometries, tooling manufacturers, knowledge of the market, and current on new and upcoming cutting tool technologies,

• Must have a solid understanding of all in machine quality control procedures such as digital verniers, micrometers, touch probing, gauges (block, pin, and thread) and deep hole depth measurement.
