Arkay Contracting is a construction services provider operating in the Lower Mainland (est 2003).
We are looking for two reliable Site Carpenters to join our team on long term projects in Burquitlam (on skytrain route) & Surrey. When you apply, please include which location you would prefer to be placed on.
Summary:
The primary responsibility for the Site Carpenter is to complete the tasks outlined by their supervisor to allow construction to move forward on the site.
Duties:
Site Carpenters do a variety of tasks involving physical labour. Tasks may include:
- Reading blue prints
- Back framing
- Frame checking
- Framing / Forming
- Load, unload, or move building materials to the appropriate locations
- Operate hand and power tools of all types
- Assist other workers as required
Keys to Success:
- Reliable
- Ability to follow instructions
- Clear communicator
- Physically fit
- Have own tools
- 3 + years experience on construction sites
Details:
- Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm
- Starting wage depending on skills and experience
- Eligible for company benefits program after 4 months
- Company supported training
- Member of the ITA apprentice program
Job Types: Full-time, Casual
Salary: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
