M Chá Bar is a local corporation that offers bubble tea drinks that are of the highest quality. As the front-facing staff of M Chá Bar, you, as a barista, will handcraft each beverage with the utmost attention using toppings created in-house daily! We only use real loose-leaf tea, 100% fresh fruits and ingredients, organic dairy, and house-made cane sugar syrup to craft every drink. Our concept is to create an innovative and unique bubble tea experience and to brew irresistible aromatic teas.
We are looking to hire full-time and part-time baristas at our Jane and Rutherford location (with Day shift availability). We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic, responsible, and hard-working team members. If you are a bubble tea lover and have the passion to learn, apply now!
Responsibilities:
- Provide courteous and clear communication with customers to ensure a positive customer service experience
- Prepare hot/cold, tea/non-tea-based drinks following the company’s standard recipes and customer modifications
- Prepare toppings and brewing tea from the company’s standard recipes
- Use the POS System to help customers order, and to input online/delivery app orders
- Strictly follow health regulations, keep a clean and sanitized working environment (floor, bar table, stock room, machinery)
Skills and knowledge:
- Applicants with at least one-year customer service-related or barista/tearista experience preferred
- Be able to stand for 6–8-hour shift and can work variable hours including morning and evening shifts on weekdays, weekends and/or Statutory holidays
- Ability to learn quickly
- Ability to multi-task during each shift in the store, with verbal or written instructions
- Be able to work independently as well as in a team
- Having a passionate learning attitude for all recipes in the store
- Can keep a calm demeanor in a fast-paced and energetic work environment
- Have excellent communication skills
- Passionate about product quality and customer service
- Can lift up to 15lb of store ingredients, boxes, replenish stock when needed
- Able to communicate clearly and confidently in English
