Assistant Pastry Chef Job at Paradise Banquet Halls
Paradise Banquet Hall, one of Vaughan's most sought-after Hospitality and Event Centre, is looking for a professional to be part of our exciting Cake & Pastry team.
This is a Permanent Full-Time position with flexible shift options between Wednesdays to Sundays, depending on events scheduled. The individual must meet all of the qualifications outlined below.
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year baking, cake decorating, kitchen or equivalent experience
- Must be energetic; passionate about baking and cake decorating
- Attention to detail; able to work in a team atmosphere or individually
- Must have a positive attitude, enjoys challenges and is a fast learner
- Able to take direction well and complete tasks within a deadline
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with efficiency and control
Job Duties:
- Includes baking, making custards, buttercreams and other fillings
- Preparing, filling and decorating high quality pastries and desserts
- Plating desserts and sweet tables
- Able to read, understand, and follow recipes, order sheets and contracts
- Must be flexible to work occasionally longer shifts with little to no notice (especially during high season).
Previous experience is preferred; however, we are willing to train the right individual for the job if they meet the other requirements.
