Admission’s Consultant Job at Portage

Under the supervision of the Director of Community Relations and Admissions, the Admission’s Consultant will be responsible for the coordination of admission services with community organizations and contacts for enrollment. The Admission’s Consultant is assigned in the establishment of strong relationships with diverse cross-sectorial partners. This role has representation functions with the community's public target, as well as with associated organizations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Represents Portage in various public and professional activities
- Oversees networking with child welfare agencies
- Participates in the process for Portage’s front-line access
- Takes on the challenge to develop and distribute written content that helps build the recognition of Portage’s brand for new participants and creates new access points
- Create content that engages new reference contacts as well as keeping them informed and updated on our programs
- Innovates and promotes the existing programs and informs people on the 21 competencies and the phases
- Participates to the elaboration, to the management and implementation of plans and strategic priorities and annuals of Portage’s admissions
- Manages and coordinates relationships with partners and all clinical counsellors
- Puts in place initiatives to be recognized as a resource for the medical community, school boards, provincial correctional facilities, magistracy and child welfare organizations
- Produces memos, emails and reports for partners and colleagues from Portage
- Participates in the enrollment process, admissions and retention. Will develop and execute a continuous enrollment plan
- Maintains weekly link with Intake Counsellors and communications
- Weekly reports for each center
- All other related takes related to the position
PROFILE REQUIRED
- Diploma in administration, in the sales or marketing field, or other pertinent studies
- 5 years of experience in sales, marketing or in a related field
- Excellent capacity to communicate in the official languages (French and English, written and spoken)
- Knowledge of legislation, government organizations and structures that interact with Portage (asset)
- Experience in working in a community-based environment
- Continuous improvement and quality methods
- Possesses excellent competencies in relation with analytical methods and problem-solving
- Demonstrates leadership skills
- Ability to work in a team setting
- Establish an agenda and establishes priorities
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Job Type: Permanent, full-time, 35 hours per week
- Schedule: Monday to Friday – possibility to work from home
- Salary: to be discussed according to experience
