Sales Desk Agents are the first point of contact between the Ski & Board School and the guest. Duties include, but are not limited to, selling lessons and packages, cash handling and balancing, using a computerized registration program for tracking guests, providing guests with resort information, and answering inquires in the Call Centre. The Sales Desk Agents rotate around three sales areas – Adult Desk, Kids Centre and Call Centre. Sales Desk Agents must be efficient, highly organized, and demonstrate excellent communication skills, as well as quickly develop an in-depth knowledge of the resort, its products and our booking systems.

General duties and responsibilities include:

• Taking and recalling reservations, selling lessons and packages and registering guests at the various sales Desks
• Liaising with Operations Managers and Supervisors to ensure guests get the correct lessons, and instructors are available
• Cash handling and accuracy

• Being the ‘face’ of the Big White Ski & Board School, and the first point of contact for guests
• Developing a comprehensive knowledge of in-house departments and products
• Being prepared to switch location at no notice depending on customer volume
• Being aware of program numbers, and communicating staffing needs to the Operations Managers and Supervisors when necessary
• Maintaining knowledge of other departments and their products, as well as general resort knowledge

• Administration skills and experience using different booking systems
• Previous work in a call center/telephone environment
• Background in customer service
• Professional typing and writing skills
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively during busy periods

• Must be able to sit and stand for the duration of the shift
• Requires standing, sitting, repetitive motions, climbing, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity
