We're a small, growing agency looking someone who can contribute to our design and development teams with graphic skills, UX knowledge and code expertise.

Job Duties

• Work with product management and technology counterparts to achieve clear problem definition and identify solutions.
• Produce wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes for a wide range of websites and web applications.
• Development of custom WordPress themes and plugins that are functional, accessible, and secure.
• Support existing WordPress projects with improvements, enhancements and content updates.
• Work on our collection of specialized product suite for the economic & workforce development sectors.
• Participate in quality assurance process.

Essential Qualifications & Requirements

• Strong graphic design skills.
• Good understanding of UX design principles.
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat) along with prototyping software such as XD or Figma.
• Accomplished HTML, CSS and JavaScript skills.
• Accomplished PHP development skills.
• A portfolio of at least (3) web projects you've worked on that we can take a peek at.
• Extensive WordPress experience is NOT REQUIRED. The WordPress API is large. We have an in-house apprenticeship-style program to help you get up to speed on the platform.

Nice to Haves

• Knowledge of user experience research methods.
• Experience creating WordPress themes and plugins from scratch.
• Working familiarity with the WordPress API, including functions, filter/action hooks, and the WordPress template hierarchy.
• Experience with "reactive" front-end frameworks like React or Vue JS.
