Giant Tiger Wholesale is looking to hire permanent, full-time Warehouse Forklift Operators for our fully automated 660,000 square foot distribution centre in Johnstown, ON! GTW can offer paid material handling equipment training on brand-new Raymond equipment, full medical/dental benefits, a store discount and 24/7 onsite gym access.

Starting wage of $19.43/hour!

Additional $2/hour for hours worked 9:00pm - 6:00am

Automatic milestone wage increases at 1040 hours, 2080 hours, 4160 hours and annually after that;

Warehouse Forklift Operator Highlights
-
Drive Narrow Aisle and High Bay Reach trucks through high trafficked areas to service Order Pickers and VNA Forklift Operators with a focus on safe and efficient operation
-
Follow Warehouse Management System directions and supervisor directions to replenish and put away in both conventional and symbotic racking areas
-
Identify SKU number and quantity to accurately scan and put away items from one location to another
-
Identify and account for damages by moving damaged cases to the designated area
-
Maintain a daily productivity count
-
Support other departments when necessary as directed by the supervisor
Warehouse Forklift Operator Candidate Requirements
-
Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety and complies with Ontario Safety and Health Act (OSHA), and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) standards

Capable of sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting heavy objects throughout shift
-
Comfortable in a noisy, fast-paced environment
-
Punctual, self-motivated, attention to detail and spatially aware of surroundings
-
Basic math and PC skills
Warehouse Forklift Operator Candidate Assets
-
Experience in a warehouse environment
-
Experience with a Warehouse Management System
-
Experience operating a forklift or similar machine
-
Positive attitude
-
Class G2 or higher driver’s licence
Forklift Operator Job Schedule:
Forklift Operators work four days per week, in 10 hour shifts.
Our forklift day shift is 6:00am - 4:30pm and the evening shift is 4:30pm - 3:00am. Different options available! Apply to inquire!
