QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid A or AR License at minimum
• Must be able to cross the border on a daily basis
• Minimum 3 years’ commercial driving experience + driving in the US
• Clean CVOR and Abstract
• Good communication skills

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Pickup enclosed trailers from Elkhart Indiana/Michigan and deliver them back to the dealership with a consistent work schedule
• Report mechanical problems to maintenance personnel
• Daily inspections, electronic logs and safety checks
• Follow safe operating procedures

Your daily schedule will consist of:

Performing your daily vehicle inspection and log whether you leave the dealership or your home with a new 3500 cab n chassis truck, hooked up to a 50' wedge load hauler. ( you can choose the time you want to leave, essentially you are your own boss when it comes down to weekly hours, as long as 5 loads are delivered per week ) The total km per daily trip will be 916km ( 4.45-5 hour drive one way )

Once you arrive in Elkhart Indiana, you will go to one of three-four manufacturers to pickup a load of cargo trailers. If your there during business/loading hours the trailers will be loaded by a fork lift, which you will need to strap down, or if its after hours then you will winch the trailers onto the 50' wedge trailer.

Once loaded & strapped down, you will make your way back to the dealership, which you will be unloaded by our staff with a fork lift, unless if your running behind then you can winch the trailers off yourself. So you always have the versatility of loading/unloading in your own hours.

You can either park the truck and trailer at the dealership or bring it home if you have space, so we are flexible with our drivers.

Drivers will be paid approx $340 per trip = $1700 per week and the availability of 6 loads per week is usually there ( pending season ). Total income based on working a conservative 48 weeks per year ( 5 days per week ) will be $81,600
