Transportation Coordinator $48 - 65k Starting Job at Cargo Space Network
Cargo Space Network is a 3PL service provider based in Brampton. We provide warehousing and transportation services to customers across Canada
We are currently in need of a Transportation Coordinator/Dispatcher to assist us in growing our local and regional transport offerings. Our equipment includes 5-tonne straight trucks and 53-ft trailers as well as intermodal transportation.
Tasks
- Provide managerial support for the transportation devision
- Dispatching of our company trucks and owner operators
- Assist in the creation and updating of rates
- Arrange for shipping documentation and the tracking and tracing of goods in transit
- Assist in onboarding of new drivers and owner operators
- Assist in acquiring new equipment, trucks and trailers
- Ensure transport compliance with current regulations
- Establish and implement policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods
- Monitor company's or department's performance, prepare reports for senior management, and plan for changes to schedules and policies
- Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods
- Oversee the setting of transportation service rates and monitor revenue
