Job Description:


Z-Modular, a division of Zekelman Industries, seeks a Tool Crib Attendant for our location in Kitchener, ON. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this position will be responsible for overseeing the Tool Crib to ensure all hand tools are available to the production floor when required along with other tasks described below.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Log and inventory all hand tools used in the production environment
  • Perform periodic and ad-hoc tool inventory assessment
  • Track all completed Preventive Maintenance activities in the ERP system
  • Perform a bi-annual complete tooling inventory
  • Provide all required PPE to HR for all new hires
  • Determine if a tool requires maintenance and if so, send to the appropriate supplier for repair
  • Receive any new and/or repaired tools and update inventory list
  • Act as the point of contact to manage the company work uniforms for new employees and replacement uniforms
  • Relieve consumed inventory in D365
  • Support Warehouse and Inventory teams with monthly inventory counts, required to work all inventory shifts, including on occasional weekends as needed
  • Other duties as assigned


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent
  • Must be competent with use of computers
  • Communication and organizational skills
  • Uncompromising commitment to safety
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role


PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
  • Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for several hours
  • Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role
  • Ability to lift, climb, bend, stoop, push and pull.
  • Must be able to lift 60lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for 10-12 hours
  • Ability to perform work in a plant/manufacturing environment
  • Other physical requirements as needed for job
