Position Overview:
Premier recreation and entertainment facilities in Southern Ontario are currently recruiting for a Temporary Full-Time Labourer.
These positions will assist in the day-to-day activities of our multi-use facilities. We are looking for responsible individuals, with the ability to work a variety of shifts at the Sportsworld Arena.
Responsibilities:
Work with minimum supervision in all phases of the operation of a Multi-Use Facility. Prioritize work and carry out duties as assigned.
Duties include:
- Building/equipment maintenance, customer service and janitorial duties.
- Ice making and maintenance - Operates equipment (e.g., ice resurfacer (e.g., Zamboni), edger, hand chopper) to maintain ice around boards.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must be reliable with a good attitude and employment record.
- Must have a minimum Grade 12 education or meet requirements of General Aptitude testing (GATB).
- Must be flexible to work varying shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
- Must have demonstrated communication/customer service skills.
- Must have the ability to keep accurate written records.
- Must have the ability to participate as an effective team member.
- Must be willing to attend mandatory staff training sessions and successfully pass the course requirements.
- Must attend and successfully complete emergency first-aid training.
- Must have a valid MTO "G" class driver's license in good standing.
