JMT Consultants Inc. is a growing structural consulting firm seeking a motivated Tekla Concrete and Rebar Detailer to join our dedicated team. We offer an exciting relocation expenses package for individuals outside of the Winnipeg area. We will also consider the opportunity to work remotely for the right candidate.

This is an exciting, in-house, full-time position that includes a variety of challenges and continuous learning. The successful candidate will work closely with our concrete and rebar department and other JMT team members to accurately and efficiently detail structural and miscellaneous steel projects using Tekla Structures while ensuring client standards are upheld, and company procedures are followed.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare Tekla models following the structural and architectural design drawings and specifications in compliance with applicable standards and building codes.
• Create and edit concrete/rebar detail drawings & rebar schedules per customer requirements and standards.
• Coordinate with fabricators, engineers, and architects to meet project requirements
• Create and incorporate all RFIs promptly when discrepancies are found, or additional information is required to complete the process and follow up as needed.

• Prepare drawing packages and issue them to the client per scheduled delivery dates

Qualifications:

• Any level of knowledge of Tekla Structures or experience as a concrete/rebar detailer
• 5+ years experience as a Rebar Detailer – willing to consider candidates who can demonstrate significant experience in a related field
• Experience in concrete/rebar construction and the ability to read drawings
• Self-motivated and able to complete multiple tasks with minimal guidance

• Deadline-driven with an attention to detail
