This position is for a new location opening in Vaughan, close to York University and the Subway station.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow recipes, portion controls and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant

• Follow FIFO (First In First Out) to ensure quality of ingredients

• Clean food prep areas, equipment, utensils and strictly adhere to sanitation, food safety, and hygiene guidelines

• Organizing all the walk in fridges and storage shelves

• Communicating with others to facilitate an efficient service

• Bringing a positive, cooperative and inquisitive attitude to the team!

• Other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required

Qualifications

• 1 year cooking experience in a fast-paced restaurant is an asset (preferred, not required)

• Experience in a pizzeria is a strong asset, especially the ability to stretch dough

• Culinary diploma/degree is an asset

• Ability to take direction and work calmly and effectively under pressure

• Able to stand for entirety of the shift
