Position Summary
We are looking for a Supply Chain Intern based at our North York or Brampton locations for the months of May to August 2023. This role will be responsible for working on a dedicated performance improvement, Nestlé Business Excellence (NCE) or LEAN project(s) for the term of your internship and you will gain valuable practical knowledge and experience in various functional aspects of Supply Chain depending on the project focus including: Demand and Supply Planning, Logistics Operations, Customer Service, Customer Facing Demand Planning and Procurement.

A day in the life of a Supply Chain Intern
As a Supply Chain Intern, you will be working cross-functionally to provide the most accurate business forecast using the customer’s demand and supply chain data. You will focus on different parts of the value chain in order to drive out waste and make recommendations on improved ways of working. You will also work on digitalizing the supply chain utilizing lean methodology and close collaboration between different supply chain functions, customer facing and sales.
As a Supply Chain Intern, you will be working cross-functionally to provide the most accurate business forecast using the customer’s demand and supply chain data. You will also:
- Optimize the visibility to data for predictive analytics and faster more accurate decision making
- Work on projects that include learning new tools and platforms – Azure, Power BI, SAS, etc.
- Communicate and influence the decision makers through story telling
- Demand and supply planning along with customer services, customer facing& Logistics
- Collaborate and provide input from stakeholders spans beyond the supply chain organization
- Adapt to various styles and self-learning with emphasis on creative ways to find relevant information through various sources
What will make you successful?
As the successful candidate, you will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be passionate, results focused, detail oriented and enjoy working in a highly analytical and project focused position. You are a fast learner, and must be comfortable working within a dynamic, fast passed challenging environment.

You will also:
- Be currently enrolled in a university or post-graduate program in Business, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent program with a major/concentration in Supply Chain.
- Have maintained a GPA of 3.0 and above (this is considered an asset).
- Be able to work with large data sets and select criteria for scenario building options.
- Have previous supply chain experience is an asset, but not mandatory.
- Be involved in extracurricular activities which demonstrate initiative and leadership.
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be a team player with demonstrated ability to work effectively across all functions and levels.
- Be results and detail-oriented with strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
- Computer literate (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) with a strength in Excel.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset.
- Experience with Supply Chain Management Software (this is considered an asset).
