As Supervisor, Front Desk, you should share a passion for service excellence and infuse enthusiasm into everything you do. You will assist to orchestrate and expedite the check-in, check-out process, and oversees the daily operation of the front desk.

Core Accountabilities:
  • Oversee the daily operation of the front desk, including managing arrivals, departures, group and tour needs, and balancing room inventory
  • Coach, mentor, and provide feedback the Guest Services team
  • Provide on the job training to all new Guest Services Agents
  • Ensure appropriate staffing needs for Guest Services Agents by assisting the Guest Services Manager in preparing weekly schedules and maintaining employee documentation for payroll, disciplinary action, and performance reviews
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service at all times
  • Develop and maintain our community partnerships with other courses, neighboring hotels, suppliers and third parties
  • Communicate with the Housekeeping department regarding guest room status and requests
  • Monitor & correct daily in/out punches for hourly employees and submit approved hours by deadline for biweekly payroll
  • Comply with Cabot health and safety legislation
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Guest Services
  • Degree or Diploma in Hotel/Hospitality Management or related discipline
  • Dynamic, enthusiastic, and innovative leader who thrives under pressure
  • Skilled in service-recovery, consistent guest follow up and follow through
  • Proven time management skills with a strength for multitasking
  • Organized, self-motivated, and goal oriented
  • Highest level of attention to detail as it relates to daily tasks, cleanliness of work stations and guest areas
  • A thorough understanding of the structure of the tourism and travel industry
  • Knowledge of Cabot / Inverness / Cape Breton an asset
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Excellent grooming standards

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to spend long hours moving around, walking, sitting, standing and crouching while performing other duties
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move luggage and objects up to 50 lbs
