Summer Sales & Product Planner

Reports To: Summer Business & Product Development Manager (SBPDM)

Location of Work: Banff, Alberta; a hybrid work model may be considered

Job Status: Full-time, Year-round

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Overview

This role reports directly into the Summer Business & Product Development Manager and is focused on supporting the development and optimization of the Non-Winter Product portfolio within CMH and helping drive sales across all agency channels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Travel Trade Sales/ Relationship Management:

  • Manage and maintain the Summer Travel Trade accounts in CRM and LS.

  • Provide pre-trip support and follow up from trade shows for SBPDM.

  • Respond to information requests travel trade via phone and email.

  • Responsible for accuracy of Travel Trade listings

  • Curate and update Image and Video Assets that we can share with Travel Trade.

  • Responsible for the update and accuracy of the Digital Sales Guide.

  • Responsible for the generation of monthly sales reporting including but not limited to Travel Trade Bookings, Sales Team targets.

  • Research additional events/tradeshows that the Summer BDM can attend to ensure visibility of the CMH Summer product.

  • Maintain product knowledge of the destination, especially as it relates to the needs of travel trade and our target consumer audiences.

Product and Marketing

  • Ensure Summer Website accurately reflects product and provide feedback to marketing team.

  • Assist in the development of training materials for new workshops/specialty trips that the Sales & GS teams require.

  • Assist the Marketing team on summer feedback process for guests and for all teams.

  • Assist in the pre and post summer operational set up for product review.

  • Provide information/material to marketing team to assist with the development of new summer website pages.

  • Identify trips and products that the sales team require help to sell, through the development of new training materials and collateral.

  • Develop training materials for Sales Team: set up training for GS and Sales on any new product.

General: Sales and Process

  • Ensure the accuracy in training of all policies and processes for the Sales team.

  • Ensure the accuracy of guest facing documents prior to price launch each season.

  • Assist Summer BDM with group buyout enquiries and contracting.

  • Provide a key communication point to Global Sales Team on all things summer.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in a related field preferred.

  • Experience in a Sales environment an asset.

  • Demonstrates integrity, discretion, and problem solving.

  • Has demonstrated attention-to-detail, with accurate data-entry skills and abilities.

  • Able to communicate in an effective and timely manner over the phone, in-person, and in written communication.

  • Proven ability to maintain professional working relationships with peers.

  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office, and other relevant software platforms.

  • Able to prioritize tasks in a complex and fast-paced environment with seasonal workload fluctuations and changing priorities.

  • Confidence to interact with all levels of the company in a hub-and-spoke model in which many individuals are remote.

  • Trustworthy and self-directed in completing the core functions of the role.

  • Sees projects through to completion including follow-up on any identified issues.

Working Conditions

  • Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position up to 20 pounds on an occasional basis.

  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a constant basis.

  • This position is required, at times, to work on evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the needs of the business.

  • This position will require occasional travel to CMH areas, as well as some travel to industry functions on an occasional basis.

  • This position is required to assist with Banff operations rescue bell, as needed.
