If you have experience as a Sous Chef in a restaurant or banquet hall, we would love to hear from you! We are looking for a chef who want to learn, cook exquisite higher end meals, and grow their skills. If you are passionate about working in both a team setting and independently in a high pace kitchen while multi-tasking, this is the perfect place for you!
**Valid Food Handlers Certificate is required**
SOUS CHEF Duties:
- Preparing meals and food to meet the specifications of guests in a timely manner
- Properly measuring kitchen ingredients and food portions
- Banquet style cooking
- Ensuring kitchen staff adhere to set standards, procedures, department rules and sanitation requirements
- Using kitchen knives and equipment such as grills, ovens, steamers and warmers in food preparation
- Managing the kitchen inventory and ensuring supplies are fresh and of high quality
- Ensuring proper food temperatures when cooking and proper storage afterward
- Help with scheduling and ordering and weekly inventory
- Taking charge of kitchen opening, closing and other side duties as directed by the Executive Chef
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual, Permanent
Part-time hours: 25-35 per week
Salary: $17.00-$23.00 per hour
