Position Overview

Primary Responsibilities

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Signing Authority/Trainer is responsible for training/teaching employees how to drive all Company owned vehicles in a safe and professional manner. The role also includes providing a high degree of customer service in a fast-paced work environment.

This position includes the following duties:

• Driving a school route as required
• Completion of Driving Assessments
• Instruction of Voyago divisional training as required
• Licence upgrade training (B class)
• Outside instructional training programs as required by school division manager

Requirements

Knowledge & Skill Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications that include, but are not limited to, the following:

• B licence held for a minimum of 3 years (mandatory)
• Possess clean driving record and Criminal Record Search with Vulnerable Sector Screening
• Excellent proven customer service experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Ottawa and surrounding area.
• Good organization and communications skills.
• Availability to work flexible hours.
• An understanding of vehicle for hire industry.
• Knowledge of wheelchair tie downs and q-straint.
• Possess a clean driver’s abstract
• Preferred previous instructional / teaching experience.
• Preferred previous Driver Assessment experience.
• Preferred instructional experience in B,D,E,F licences
• Driving a school route as required (spare driver)
• Instructional of Voyago divisional training as required
• Licence upgrade training (F, E, and B class)
• Completion of Professional Instructor in Driver Education (PRIDE) program or Equivalent (Voyago will register and cover cost)
