United Safety is hiring a Shop Technician to support the demands of our growing business in Fort St John. You will be responsible for maintaining the quality of equipment and processes in the shop. We’re looking for a self-starter who has 3 or more years of mechanical/technological experience. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to communicate well, since your day-to-day work will be in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining equipment in accordance with company and manufacturer’s specifications. This includes servicing equipment comprised of cleaning, inspecting, testing, and calibration
• Distributing equipment ensuring the timely and accurate flow of materials between both company and customer destinations
• Ensuring compliance to the company’s Preventative Maintenance, Inspection, and Test Procedures
• Document and data control
• May require going to site, whether it be hotshot services or working in the field

Requirements

• Eligible to work in Canada

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence (No GDLs) and clean driver’s abstract

• Pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing

• Possess current H2S Alive, 2-day Standard First Aid, and CSO safety tickets

• Able to successfully complete specialized paid training by United Safety
