Miracle Channel is growing! A full time Senior Producer is needed to oversee and run a multi-series initiative in the news/news commentary genre. The successful candidate would work in tandem with a full-broadcast production team as well as an online marketing team dedicated to increasing digital audience reach.

Candidates must be proficient with general computing and have excellent communication skills. Experience in project management, team leadership and new media production is a must. Knowledge of the broadcast television industry and/or mainstream news media is a plus.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Creative writing, copy writing, producing, and managing multiple off-site productions

• High-level project, personnel, and deadline management skills

• Working daily with several team members in different offices and various roles

• Above average critical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Being able to receive high-level visionary ideas, and synthesize those into tangible assignments and project initiatives, creating S.M.A.R.T. goals.

• Execute and deliver quality content while working with clients and other on-camera talent.

• Integrate new ideas into overall vision to grow the genre and subsequent programming

• Understand and coordinate workflow to ensure on-air assets run to serve broader goals

• Creativity and the gumption to suggest ideas and efficiencies

• Attention to detail including spelling, file management and consistency in media assets

• Ability to represent the organization well when networking externally with stakeholders and on-air guests

• Above average communication skills including Television production lingo and knowledge of current affairs, daily headlines, and relevant topics of research.

• Local travel is occasionally required

Position Details

This role could be filled from either of our Alberta locations of Calgary or Lethbridge. This role is a term position with an opportunity for a permanent position based on performance and fit.
