This position analyzes customers’ current supply chain needs to create appropriate solutions and promptly respond to customers’ requests. Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Own all aspects for maintaining excellent working relationships with existing customers as well as facilitating the efficient on-boarding and transitioning process of new customers.
• Daily management and coordination of shipments and support day-to-day logistics activities for key customers.
• Be the main contact for customers ensuring issue resolution/escalation and overall client satisfaction is maintained.
• Set up and monitor project shipments from initiation to execution.
• Analyze routes and means of transportation, negotiate fees with carriers for each customer based on needs.
• Examine your suggested carriers and rates and translate the information into costs to present to clients.
• Monitor all carrier performance and provide feedback to carriers/management.
• Perform assigned functions in the transportation field, consistent with regulations, standards, established policies, and business requirements.
• Maintain awareness of the activities of all competitors.

Qualifications:

• College/University degree in Business, Marketing, Transportation, Logistics, or Supply Chain is an asset.
• Minimum 3 years experience in multimodal logistics, with truck brokerage experience strongly preferred.
• Must be able to build effective internal and external relationships through communication, integrity, and trust.
• Works optimally in a complex, diverse, fast-changing environment, adapts well to and is energized by change.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be a listener, a presenter, and a people person.
• Effectively works in identifying prospective partners, and negotiating successfully in a constructive, consultative, and collaborative manner.
• Hardworking teammate with a positive can-do attitude.
