Pay Rate: $16.98/hr.

Joseph Brant is the only acute hospital in Burlington, a community of about 165,000 residents. The hospital provides a range of primary and secondary services, including specialty clinical services.

Job Description

Working on assigned shifts, you will provide proactive and reactive security patrols and response to incidents. You will be required to write reports and investigate routine incidents, as well as respond to coded emergencies in a quick and efficient manner. You should display excellent customer service skills and be able to work with people who are under stress or in need of medical assistance. In this role, it is essential that you are physically fit and able to stand and walk for long periods of time.

Requirements

• A valid Ontario Security License
• First Aid CPR - Level C certification
• Submission of full Covid-19 Vaccinations required upon hire.
• Proficient in English (Verbal and Written)
• Must provide a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check upon hire.
• Submission of medical immunization records including: MMR, Varicella, and TBtesting required upon hire.

At the time of the interview applicant must be able to produce proof of completion of the following prerequisites:

• A Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• First Aid - CPR Level C Certification
• COVID Double Vaccination Receipt
• Proficient in English (both oral and written)
