Our corporate Home Hardware Furniture Store located in downtown St. Jacobs, has an exciting opportunity for a term
Part-Time Retail Furniture Sales Associate. Reporting to the Retail Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing courteous and efficient customer service, while selling furniture, appliances, and accessories.

HOURS: 32 hours per week
*Must be available for any of the store hours.
Monday to Friday (8:30am - 5:00pm / 9:30am - 6:00pm)
Saturday (9:00am - 5:00pm)
Sunday (12:00pm – 5:00pm)
- Please note this is a term position until November 2023.
What you’ll do:
- Greet and assist customers with all aspects of their Home furnishing, appliance, and accessories requirements.
- Process customers’ transactions in P.O.S. system. As well as customer invoice tracking of special orders.
- Order merchandise from the DSC and Vendors, providing invoice tracking and follow-up calls to both Vendors and customers throughout the process.
- Assist with inventory counting/cycling counting.
- Assist with merchandise displays, moving furniture and accessories, as well as tidying the sales floor regularly; general housekeeping is required.
What we’re looking for:
- Must have strong interpersonal skills, be service oriented and able to multi-task.
- Previous retail sales experience preferably with furniture, mattresses and/or appliances.
- Excellent computer skills: experience with Outlook, Excel Word, and POS would be a strong asset.
- Written and oral communications skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must be willing to work weekends and extended hours.
- Fluency in both English and French would be an asset, but not required.
