Your Opportunity:
The Site Lead provides day to day leadership for the Anesthesia Respiratory Therapists (RT-A) at assigned sites and acts as the on liaison among the RT-A’s, Anesthesia Section Chief, anesthesiologists, OR, other site staff and Zone Anesthesia Operations staff. Administrative/Education: 30-40% (depends on site and does change as work mix changes): Collaborates with Zone RT III with any equipment/supply coordination with the CSF staff. Assess daily workload levels and assign RT-A staff tasks as required at site. Monitor site staff levels and ensure adequate staffing on a daily basis within budgetary guidelines. Monitor and performance coaching of site RT-A’s and at assigned site. Attend and encourage attendance of site staff at Zone Anesthesia Operations meetings and department rounds. Liaise among the site RT-A’s, anesthesiologists and division chief regarding equipment issues Liaise with nursing and other health care providers working in the OR and PACU. Address site specific policy or service delivery issues or concerns. Update the policy and procedure manual in collaboration with Zone Clinical Educators and under direction of the Zone Operations Manager and Medical Lead. Clinical: 60%-80% (depends on site and does change as work mix changes): Assess and prioritizes daily workload and equipment requirements in consultation with Anesthesiologists. Assists Anesthesiologists in patient care procedures: bronchoscopy, intubation, laryngoscopy, arterial lines, central venous lines, thermodilution catheters, cardiac output measurements and drug preparation. Assists in Regional Anesthesia techniques. Maintains current certifications for endotracheal intubation, peripheral venous cannulation, blood salvaging, arterial cannulation, and drug preparation. Other duties as required.

You will collaborate with managers and supervisors in the provision and access to internal and external continuing education and professional development programs including certifications and upgrades.
