About the Job
We are seeking a highly motivated Requirement Analyst. The successful candidate will report to the Digital Program Manager and determine the needs of projects, acting as a liaison between managers, stakeholders, and software development teams. Job duties are to analyze requirements for a project, reconcile conflicting interests, and determine how to translate the stakeholder’s vision into a plan that can be implemented by developers
What will you do?
- Evaluating business processes, anticipating and drafting business requirements, uncovering areas for improvement
- Write QA product test cases and documentation for web and software projects
- Assess results from QA test teams to determine fit with requirements
- Liaising with project team members and providing suggestions or solutions to unforeseen issues when needed, with emphasis on support and acceptance testing criteria.
- Gathering and analyzing project data to identify its weaknesses, including gaps between estimated and actual work and the impact on project delivery dates and staff resourcing
- Reconcile release notes with testing criteria at the end of software development cycle
- Participate in all IT meetings where project estimates are established or adjusted
- Monitor all project-related tasks daily to ensure the accuracy of project status reporting
- Coordinate project plan activities, organize project information, follow up on action items and assignments
What Qualifications do you need to succeed?
- A bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis in web projects or a related field.
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
- The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
- Advanced technical skills.
- Excellent documentation skills (writing, editing, and proofreading skills).
- Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
What are a few items good to have?
- Experience with an agile development process, Atlassian (JIRA, Confluence) preferred
- Experience in QA Test Case Writing to ensure project requirements are accurately translated into viable test case scenarios is considered an asset.
- Experience in performing functional, regression and integration testing of new/update requirements, documentation, and defect/change management is considered an asset.
- Experience with Continuous Development or Continuous Integration is an asset
- Excellent communication skills; ability to work well and communicate efficiently within a team in a remote setting using online messaging systems, project management software, and cloud office suites (i.e., Google Hangouts, Trello, Google Docs, Google Spreadsheets, Google Drive)

Salary: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
