Registered Nurse/Nurse Practitioner

We are looking for registered nurses or nurse practitioners, for a part-time 3-month contract (with a potential 3-month extension) for on-site work at a cardiology clinic in Scarborough, ON. Candidates must be fluent in medical terminology and comfortable working with EMR systems to assist in organizing clinical data.

What You'll Do:

This role will be a combination of virtual and onsite work. You will be providing nursing services at the request and under the direct supervision of the duly licensed physicians practicing at the clinics to which you have been assigned.

· Assist the physician with counseling patients and organizing follow-up

· Identify suitable patients for clinical trials

· Improve adherence to clinical guidelines

· Completing patient assessments, planning and continuously reassessing care

· Implementing evidence-based interventions, and evaluating patient outcomes and the patient experience

· Utilization of computerized systems for documentation of patient care

· Applying knowledge of nursing science, theory, skill and critical decision making in the provision of compassionate, collaborative and competent care in accordance with the professional standards and the ethical framework as outlined by relevant regulators in each Province in which you deliver such services

Requirements:

· You are a Registered Nurse (RN) or a Nurse Practitioner (NP)

· Able to be onsite in an outpatient clinic in Scarborough, ON

· Comfortable working with EMR systems

· Experience in cardiology is preferred

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months
Part-time hours: 8-24 per week

Salary: $35.00-$85.00 per hour
