The Purchasing Coordinator is a born problem solver with a demonstrated passion for logistics excellence, cost containment, and continuous improvement. They will use their keen attention to detail to order supplies, manage inventory, track shipments, and develop excellent relationships with our suppliers. By continuously monitoring vendor performance and pricing, our Purchasing Coordinator will provide essential data to allow EA leadership to make critical real-time and strategic supply chain decisions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Distribute, receive, and organize inventory of stock including uniforms, ramp supplies, IT equipment, and all other stocked items
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and key purchasers at each of our stations
  • Develop and evolve tracking systems that provide a real-time view of inventory, expected inventory, and required purchases
  • Prepare purchase orders and set-up accounts with new vendors.
  • Compare invoices with supplies received and close the purchasing cycle with the finance team
  • Update stations on order status including expected delivery dates and/or delays.
  • Monitor stock levels at HQ and in stations and make appropriate adjustments to ensure stock levels are adequate to always support the operation while ensuring stock levels are not excessive
  • Enter asset management data for accurate tracking
  • Provide concise and accurate administration/preparation of purchase orders and/or other required documents involved with the procurement process
  • Issue purchase orders/makes purchases based on the receipt of properly documented and approved purchase requisitions
  • Consolidate pricing with vendors and keep up to date on new supply sources
  • Address concerns with suppliers and escalate as required
  • Establish on-time deliveries to meet operational requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience with data entry, inventory management, shipping, receiving, and payment processing
  • Proficient with all MS office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Previous purchasing/logistics experience preferred
  • Post-secondary education in a related field preferred

  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office, and other relevant software platforms.
  • Able to prioritize tasks in a complex and fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Able to build productive working relationships with vendors and partners.
  • Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Ability to, when required, work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the needs of the business.
