Position Description

Title: Casual Production Worker

Position Purpose: To help us reach our goals, we are looking for an energetic, motivated individual to join our team in Truro, NS as a Casual entry level Production Worker.

Principle Accountabilities

The successful candidate will be trained to work in the Beaming and Weaving areas of our facility. Key responsibilities will include:

• Creeling up the machines by taking all the small packages (700 meters or less) or empty cores off the creel and replacing with full packages at beginning of shift.
• Sit and watch the machine for any tape breaks and small packages.
• Repair tape breaks by finding the break, determining the cause of the break, and threading the tape back.
• Change packages on creel when required to ensure that there is material on the beam for weaving.
• When the beam becomes full, assist the operator to doff machine and put in and cut the lease, help with style changes. Creel up if necessary and completes redraws.
• Leasing looms, set-up tie-in frame, tying in the looms, drawing in looms, add or remove heddles and dropwires.
• To help Tie-in Operators set up tie in frames
• Keeping a tidy work area.
• Other duties as assigned.

Successful candidate must have flexibility to work a variety of shifts as assigned
