Production Operator

The Production Operator position is a fulfilling role that reports to the Production Coordinator. Responsibilities include setting up and operating machines to produce trial parts which are inspected and approved by the operators prior to production; form and shape metal into various shapes and sizes; performing First Piece Approvals by gauging the product and making necessary adjustments; maintaining the cleanliness of cells or machines, tagging all products in process or outgoing, and stocking cells with components and emptying scrap bins; and adhering to Company rules, Health and Safety guidelines and the Collective Labour Agreement.

The successful candidate will possess a High School Diploma or equivalent. Candidates must be able to lift up to 25 lbs; bending/stooping, have good balance and able to static and dynamic standing for upwards of 8 hours per shift. Strong communication, attention to detail, problem solving, teamwork and organizational skills combined with the ability to adapt to changing demands.
