BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd. is a Veterinary Practice Entity (VPE) licensed by the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association (ABVMA) for the sole purpose of providing necessary compounded veterinary products to other veterinary clinics. BVR Veterinary Supplies compounds medications for veterinarians that are either no longer available or not on the market commercially in Canada.

BVR Veterinary Supplies is a family run business that follows the values of Quality, People/Animals, Accountability, Passion and Safety in all that they do. The BVR facility is in Southeast Calgary.

BVR is currently recruiting for a full-time permanent Production Assistant, Monday to Friday day shifts. The Production Assistant works in both team or individual settings and assists with the compounding and packaging of Veterinary Pharmaceutical products.

You will:

· Package, label, weigh, compound, fill, cap, seal and stack products following strict quality processes

· Adhere to all company standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and NAPR standards and BVR work instructions

· Complete all required paperwork including logbooks, work orders and other required documents

· Follow company policies as described on the Employee Handbook

· Perform any required cleaning tasks and maintain a clean working area

· Follow all safety procedures and assist in maintaining a safe workspace

· Other related duties as required.

You have:

· A minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent

· Able to follow instructions and meet daily objectives, while working safely and efficiently

· Ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment

· Strong English communication ability, both written and verbal

· Must be physically fit (may required to lift up to 50 lbs) and stand for long periods of time

· Good vision, attention to details and hearing skills are required for this compounding role.

· Previous compounding or pharmacy experience would be an asset.

Working Conditions

· Indoor work environment that may have odours, be dusty, or be noisy

· Required to dress in cGMP standard and wear proper PPE all time

· Repetitive movements, with some heavy lifting

· Limited requirement for overtime duties

· Exposure to some hazardous chemicals in controlled environment.

This role will require a successful police background check and at least two positive references from former employers.
