Process (Chemical) Engineer

YOUR ROLE

Kruger Kamloops is currently looking to hire a full-time Process Engineer.

Working with resources in the Technical and Operations Departments, the Process Engineer will apply their knowledge of chemical process operations and control towards process troubleshooting and optimization challenges. Additionally, the Process Engineer will provide process support to capital projects through the Engineering Department, and environmental and quality management through the Technical Department.

Process troubleshooting, statistical process control, process tuning, energy efficiency, environmental improvements, product quality, and cost reduction are some of the areas where this position will be adding value.

YOUR SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to troubleshoot and provide technical support to operations and maintenance
  • Team player with strong personal initiative and follow-through
  • Proficient with computers and systems diagnosis
  • Safety-oriented mindset
  • Familiar with Process and Environmental efficiencies
  • Excellent communication skills and cross-departmental collaboration
  • High standards of self-performance and the ability to lead or motivate others

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering
  • 3+ years experience with manufacturing processes, equipment and fundamentals
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and gather data
  • Proven leadership skills

Preferred:

  • Environmental monitoring and compliance experience
  • Previous experience in the Pulp and Paper Industry
