Novo Peak Health is currently looking for a Physiotherapist Assistant to provide CASUAL COVERAGE services with NO SET HOURS in a home in Petrolia, ON.

This COULD lead to a permanent position.

Schedule:

CASUAL COVERAGE POSITION.

We are looking for Physiotherapist Assistants with a strong interest in eldercare, who are passionate about what they do, who place their residents and quality care as the focus, and who are great communicators with excellent interpersonal skills.

The Physiotherapist Assistant will work well both independently and in collaboration with their Supervising Physiotherapist and the interdisciplinary team, at large with a collective focus to offer excellence in every facet of the resident’s care plan and promote resident health, well-being and quality of life. They will carry out assigned treatments forming the physiotherapy care plan for residents, and document interventions in the resident file.

We promote continuing education, encourage continued learning, provide monthly educational tips to the team at large, and hold an annual conference because we value professional growth and each therapist’s desire to learn.

Key Qualifications:

• Diploma in Physiotherapist Assistant program or relevant discipline
• Previous eldercare/geriatric experience is an asset
• Dementia related experience and education (i.e., Gentle Persuasive Approach) as well as knowledge of RAI-MDS and Point Click Care are an asset
• Current Vulnerable Sector Screen (within the last year) (can be done upon offer)
• 2 Step TB Test (within the last year) (can be done upon offer)
• Fully vaccinated against COVID 19
