The Evening Dispatcher is responsible for building and maintaining strong business relationships with multiple drivers to seamlessly coordinate them to successfully service customer loads. Monitor logistic transactions in the evening while communicating effectively and efficiently both internally and externally to achieve high levels of service.

Responsibilities will include:

• Communicating with drivers regularly to ensure on time delivery, sending and receiving all information relevant to the driver performing his/her duties within the Company and customer requirements
• Handling all driver related satellite messages or calls within assigned and overflow queues
• Reporting and documenting of all customer service, planning and driver related issues to the appropriate personnel
• Preparing customs clearance paperwork and ensuring it has been submitted the customs broker
• Following up with customs brokers to ensure clearances are completed in a timely manner
• Arranging and booking in repairs for in transit truck breakdowns

Qualifications

• Analytical and critical thinking skills
• Must have reliable transportation
• Strong problem solving skills
• Proven team player with ability to align position goals with corporate strategic goals
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a dispatch or planning role required
• Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience would be an asset
• Some post-secondary education is an asset
• Must be legally allowed to work full time in Canada
