Position: On-Site Project Coordinator

Location: Fort McMurray, AB

Kichton Construction LP is looking for an On-Site Project Coordinator to join our Fort McMurray location. The On-Site Project Coordinator is an integral part of Project Management team and will aid in delivering the successful execution of projects through all phases of the project management process. The role will coordinate and track correspondence, material, equipment, scheduling, subcontracts, and progress.

Shift: 14 & 7; Shift may vary based on project requirements

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with overall client requirements and specifications
• Monitor the financial performance and time delivery of projects
• Complete daily LEMS reporting
• Code project financials to the appropriate cost code
• Create and disseminate regular progress reports
• Maintain and develop strong client relationships
• Assist with the coordination of equipment and manpower throughout project life cycle
• Regularly communicate and coordinate with various project stakeholders
• Identify efficiencies or process improvement opportunities within project life cycle
• Provide administrative support to the Project Management and Operations team
• Other duties as required

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years experience in a Project Coordinator’s role or equivalent
• Education: CET, Bachelor of Civil Engineering, or Bachelor of Mining
• PMP Certification (In-Progress or Completed) considered an asset
• Previous experience working in a Heavy Civil or Mining environment
• Practical understanding of open pit mining operations
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and change management skills
• Ability to work under pressure
