Two positions available: Full time (70 hours bi-weekly) in Trail AND Part time (35 hours bi-weekly) in Nelson
An eligibility list may be established for future full-time and part-time permanent and/or temporary vacancies within the Kootenays Service Delivery Area locations of Nelson, Castlegar, Trail, and Grand Forks.

The Office Assistant provides general administrative, clerical, and program support to the work unit. This role requires someone with the ability to maintain confidentiality, sound judgement and excellent organizational abilities. Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent.
  • Experience working in an office setting.

Preference may be given to applicants with one or more of the following:

  • Two (2) years or more of experience working in an office setting in an administrative/clerical role.
  • A certificate or diploma in office administration.
  • Experience working independently and as a team member with a multi-disciplinary environment and with other professional staff, client and service providers.
  • Recent (within the last 5 years) experience working in a human services field.
  • Experience using MCFD applications such as MIS, ICM or CRIS.
  • Experience using PowerPoint.
