Every piece of woodwork, from moldings to custom shaped bars, is hand-built by our skilled artisans in a 16,000-square foot facility in Vernon, BC. Description:

As our Production Supervisor based in Vernon, B.C., you will group supervise and co-ordinate the activities of workers who fabricate, manufacture, assemble and inspect Millwork and furniture made of wood with integration of other materials including but not limited to metals and glass.

What You'll Do:

· Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of workers who manufacture and assemble wood millwork and furniture, operate woodworking machines and finish end products to specified colour or finish

· Establish methods to meet work schedules and deadlines; and coordinate work activities with other departments (such as drafting, finishing)

· Identify work problems and resolve them by implementing measures to improve productivity and product quality

· Requisition of materials and supplies (in liaison of project coordinator)

· Train staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policy

· Recommend personnel actions such as hiring, promotions and terminations

· Prepare and update shop production schedule weekly to ensure projects stay on track

· Oversee set up of machinery and equipment

· Track/approve payroll hours and workers’ timecards and vacation

· Shop safety and housekeeping (including dust collector)

What You Have:

· At least 5 years in architectural millwork and 5 years in supervision role

· Red Seal Cabinetmaker designation is an asset but not required
