Collision Kings Group is looking for a leader and member of the team, that shares their values regarding a solid work ethic and accountability.

Overview: The Manager is responsible for running the autobody shop location, ensuring the success of the facility in all areas of the business. They will manage all aspects of the business from associates to the product used in the work processes inclusively.

Specific Accountabilities:

  • Manage/report the profitability of the facility on a monthly basis (Weekly KPI). Review the KPI with staff weekly to ensure all are working toward a common goal
  • Determine/correct the KPIs below target; regularly evaluate business performance by monitoring the areas of dollar amount of estimates written, Cycle Time, gross profit margin of jobs completed, overhead budget and net profit.
  • Establish (in conjunction with the management team) company long-term and short-term goals to ensure business direction is met, both from a monetary and professional viewpoint.
  • Review company sales targets to ensure that steps are taken to proactively pursue sales goals.
  • Review profit margins and gross sales targets for production.
  • Monitor overhead budget that will not exceed identified percentage of total sales and reflects the controlled operating expenses ( monitor expenses for correctness and sign off for approval ).
  • Ensure repair orders are closed following insurance guidelines and within KPI targets.
  • Provide backup for administrative associates and ensure administrative tasks are distributed with regard to staff skills.
  • Ensure facility stays clean and equipment is in good working order.
  • Monitor store quality by continually inspecting and observing methods of repair in progress.
  • Lead daily production and H&S meetings.
  • Resolve all complaints and disputes tied to the facility including staff disputes ( in conjunction with HR ) and customer-related disputes.
  • Evaluate employees on an ongoing basis to identify and assist low performers to improve in areas that are under developed in conjunction with Human Resources.
  • Administer performance appraisal process in conjunction with Human Resources.
  • Maintain all Canadian safety standards.
  • Achieve CSI that meets or exceeds established standards and follow up on substandard CSI cards.
  • Ensure business and compound are secured and alarm set each day.
  • Attend training as and when required by needs analysis.
  • Set company standards of excellence by continually striving to improve levels of customer service and satisfaction, insurance company relationships, sales and promotional efforts.

Designations/Training/Experience Requirements:

  • At least 7 years experience working in an Auto Body shop (front office or production area) or a minimum of 7 years experience in a similar role is preferred – at least 3 years must be in a management position
  • Must have experience working in a high volume Auto Body shop with turnover in excess of 3 million
  • A diploma or certificate in Business would be an asset but is not required
  • WHMIS and First Aid is required

Job Specific Competencies and Skill Set:

  • Valid class 5 drivers license

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
- Ability to lift, handle and move items up to 50kg
- Working in an auto body shop environment (noise, dirt, fumes, hazards)
- Repetitive and physically demanding work – stooping, kneeling, crouching, and work in awkward positions
- Subject to drug and alcohol testing
- Must be able to work around chemicals and fumes

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $85,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
