Stable long term employment, earn a good income and have half the year off – these Insulator positions is for you! Stuart Olson will provide a drive from Fort McMurray, Red Deer or Edmonton and you will work a half day on the first and last day of your shift.

Working Conditions

• Compliance to site pre access drug and alcohol testing
• Working both indoors and outdoors in hot and cold weather conditions
• Working at heights
• Working in and around noise and dust
• Must be clean shaven
• Safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.

Physical Requirements

• Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50lbs. with assistance
• Stand or walk for long periods of time – working outside up to 11 hours a day
• Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objects
• Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds and other objects

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine insulation requirements.
• Select the amount and type of insulation to be installed as well as a method of securing the insulation according to the type and shape of the surface, whether, or not the equipment is cold or hot, inside or outside, and what the equipment is going to be used for.
• Measure and cut insulating material and coverings to the required shape and dimensions.
• Fit insulation around obstructions or shape insulation materials and protective coverings.
• Install vapour barriers and finish insulated surfaces by applying metal cladding, plastic or cement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma
• Maintenance experience
• Cold service work experience an asset
• Valid Driver's License or government issued Photo ID
• 3 year Driver's Abstract
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Committed dedication to safety; reflected in practice and experience
• Strong focus on customer satisfaction
• A team player with strong people skills
