Janitorial Hygiene Job at Monaghan Mushrooms Ltd
Main Duties:
1. Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
2. Gather and empty trash; break down empty boxes for recycling
3. Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
4. Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, to prevent damage to floors/fixtures.
5. Notify managers concerning the need for repairs
6. Monitor supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties and arrange for requisition
7. Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, etc. to prepare facilities for events
8. Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
9. Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
10. Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
11. Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
12. Operate machinery required to perform cleaning work, including floor buffers, vacuum cleaners, etc.
13. Clean all equipment in lunchrooms, including cleaning and disinfecting of floors, counter tops, microwaves, coffee machines, etc. Stock paper towels/dish soap as required.
14. Notify Manager if vending machines need servicing/restocking
15. Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
1. Ability to performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials
2. Ability to select and safely use various cleansing agents and how to operate and maintain cleaning machines
3. Awareness of safety and health regulations, experience with safe use of chemicals, knowledge of WHMIS
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
