Who are we looking for?

We have an immediate need for licensed 310T Automotive Service Technician for our internal department. Internal service technicians are responsible for completing pre-delivery inspections, used vehicle inspections including all requisite documentation and the installation of accessories and LPOs. At Georgian Chevrolet our internal technicians take a great deal of pride in ensuring that our customer’s receive their vehicles in not just working order, but impeccable condition. Internal technicians may work primarily in one area such as used vehicles or PDI however at times employees may be asked to complete tasks in any area of the service department, including but not limited to customer vehicles when necessary. The hours for this position are Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm with alternating Saturdays as scheduled by management. Ability to work independently

Duties and responsibilities

· Complete pre-delivery inspections according to GM’s guidelines, policies and procedures including appropriate forms as required.

· Install LPOs and accessories as per work order/advisor direction

· Complete MTO safety inspections, CPO safety inspections and annual sticker inspections as required – including all applicable forms.

· Request parts and assist Internal Service Advisor in creating quotes for repairs as needed

· Diagnose and repair vehicles as necessary for reconditioning and/or pre-delivery readiness

· Willingness to inspect and repair all makes and models

· Strong attention to detail and quality control

· Participate in ongoing training efforts including TAC talk

· Maintain a clean and organized work area

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to $45.00 per hour

We clean and sanitize each vehicle prior to entry into the shop. We provide all applicable PPE and encourage staff to follow public health guidelines through our rigorous Health and Safety process.

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Barrie, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

• 310S- Automotive Service Technician: 3 years (preferred)
• Ozone depletion certificate

Licence/Certification:

• Drivers License (required)
• Journeyman (required)
