As a Hydraulic Mechanic, you will assemble, disassemble, maintain, and repair pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves. Your responsibilities will include cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting components, equipment and machinery, pre-testing components and keeping the shop floor free of spills and obstacles. In your daily work, you will collaborate with team members to provide our customers with a great experience. Success in this role includes sharing the owners’ passion for treating all customers with respect and looking after their hydraulic needs in the most expedient way. Having a mechanical background and knowledge of basic tools would be an asset.

Duties:

General

  • Work 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday
  • Follow instructions given by supervisor and update supervisor on progress
  • Advise supervisor of special requests and feedback from customers
  • Participate in special projects and take on additional duties as required
  • Communicate unsafe conditions or accidents in timely manner
  • Maintain neat and orderly work area in shop
  • Load and deliver material as needed

Technical

  • Handle maintenance and repair of pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves
  • Clean, lubricate and adjust components, equipment, and machinery
  • Handle and operate machinery, equipment, parts, and tools
  • Collaborate with coworkers to provide seamless customer service
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures to identify parts in need of repair
  • Record parts and materials needed and requests new parts and materials
  • Ensure that service logs are correct, complete, legible, and traceable
  • Check and maintain company equipment in good state of repair

Skills taught after hire as needed: in-house hydraulics training, Health & Safety Training, Product Training, Maintenance, Quality Training, Forklift Training, Cylinder Repair, Lathe Operation, Test Stand Operation, Drill Press Operation, Vertical Mill Operation.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
