Position: Huronia District Soccer League Administrator

Reports to: President & Board of Directors

Huronia District Soccer Association:

Huronia District is a not-for-profit organization that serves over 11,000 members from 30 adult and youth clubs spanning from Bradford to North Bay.

Position:

HDSA (Huronia District Soccer Association) is in search of a self-motivated, reliable individual to assume the role of League Administrator. This position will manage scheduling, invoicing, referee assignments, and provide other general administrative and operational support for the HDSA Board of Directors.

Requirements:

  • Flexible availability Days/Evenings/Weekends
  • Preference to those with administrative/sports management background
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced customer facing environment

Duties to include but not limited to:

  • overall day-to-day operational responsibility for League
  • interaction/liaison with Club and Team representatives, HDSA Board of Directors, Ontario Soccer, and other District leagues
  • maintenance of management information and data systems including League web site
  • assist discipline committee in respect to meetings, hearings, courses etc.
  • assist in developing annual budgets and forecasts
  • process AP / AR / JE and month end reconciliations
  • primary organizational interface for clubs and other leagues in relation to league operations
  • preparation of league schedules
  • assignment of referees
  • assist with marketing League via social media & email blasts
  • other duties as required by Board of Directors

Experience & Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of office administration experience and/or sports management
  • Experience within a not-for-profit, volunteer and or sport organization would be an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Quick Books
  • Self-driven, accountable, energetic, and team player with the ability to work without supervision
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Interest or knowledge in the game of soccer is preferred
  • Knowledge of E2E, Oscar, and Sports Engine is an asset but can be trained
  • Reliable form of transportation a benefit.

Salary: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Schedule

  • Hybrid office option
  • Flex time
  • Vacation/Sick leave entitlement
  • Monday to Friday with occassional evenings and weekends for board meetings and/or District events

Education:

  • Sport Admin, Business, or Office Admin Degree/Certificate (preferred)
  • Experience in a not-for-profit sport organization is an asset.

Part-time hours: 20 - 30 per week

Salary: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
