We are a rapidly growing geotechnical engineering firm based in Calgary, Alberta that provides a modern, customer service based approach to our clients. We serve a wide range of clients within the heavy civil, commercial, residential, transportation, mining, and municipal sectors.
Factor is seeking an experienced Field Engineer or Engineering Technologist based in or near Calgary or Cochrane. The position is a full time role and is expected to begin in April to May 2023. This position will be primarily based in the field, providing inspection services for a large MSE retaining wall to be constructed over a period of approximately 1 year. The project is located in Cochrane, AB.
- Inspection work is Monday to Friday 8 AM to 5 PM with 1 hour lunch
- Training specific to the MSE product being used will be provided
- Very little overtime is expected
At the conclusion of the 1 year MSE wall project, the successful applicant may be assigned to another role within the company.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience of MSE wall design/construction/inspection experience
- Valid and unrestricted drivers license
Preferred
- Engineer in Training (EIT) or Certified Engineering Technologist (CET)
- Meticulously organized and punctual
- Well developed written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with construction inspection work
- Flexible
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Salary: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
