Sierra Stone South Central is seeking general labour help for the summer season to begin May 1st until the end of September.

This position is completely entry-level, we will train on all aspects. Hand tool experience and experience with decking an asset but absolutely not required. Labourer must be able to lift 40lbs. We typically work in teams of 2-3.

Our company specializes in epoxy and aggregate coating for concrete patios, steps, pools and decks. Our exterior season runs as long as the weather permits so we may work weekends once in a while but it’s not our preference. We are a woman-owned business and we encourage anyone with a willingness to learn and a desire to create beautiful spaces to apply for this position. We simply do not tolerate a toxic working environment and refuse to “test limits” of employees’ abilities. We strive to maintain healthy work habits and we are willing to work around any type of challenge for the right candidate.

A day on the job will involve lifting bags of stone, carrying buckets of mixed product, mixing epoxy and running a cement/stone mixer. You will also swing a hammer, use a drill, and climb a ladder. We also have days of using a paintbrush and roller to seal areas with epoxy. Long term employees are trained on the trowel as well. The right candidate may also be asked to accompany our estimator on quotes to clients’ homes and new build sites. In the middle of summer, we often start very early in an effort to beat the heat, often arriving to site between 6:30-7am with work ending for the day between 2-4pm.

We have part time and full time schedules available and we are willing and flexible enough to work with any schedule requirements.

Transportation to site may be in our company truck or by labourer’s own transportation. We work on site from Kelowna to Penticton, any travel by labourers can be reimbursed beyond a certain mileage.
