Position Title: Field Journeyperson / Heavy Equipment Technician (3rd or 4th year would be considered with energy sector experience)

Wage: Up to $58/hour with Relevant Tickets and Experience

Schedule: 9 Days on 5 Days Off Schedule

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Responsible for performing preventative maintenance services, including basic engine and transmission repairs
• Perform and assist with basic repairs on Iron Horse equipment
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
• Inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions to diagnose and determine required repairs
• Perform other related duties as requested

Job Requirements:

• Experience with Cummins engines and basic hydraulic troubleshooting is an asset
• Must live around the Medicine Hat area or be willing to relocate
• Must be able to work independently, manage time efficiently and be self-motivated
• Willing/able to travel out of town for work
• Be prepared to work extra hours if required and work in all weather conditions
• Have a clean class 5 drivers abstract
• Pass a pre-employment test
