Facilities Assistant
Happily Ever Esther Farm Sanctuary is pleased to be hiring a Facilities Assistant.
Happily Ever Esther Farm Sanctuary, located in Campbellville, Ontario, Canada, was founded in 2014. We are dedicated to rescuing abused, neglected, and abandoned farmed animals. Our goal is to provide a safe, life-long home for all of our residents, and to educate the public about the true nature of farmed animals through tours, volunteer programs, and community outreach.
We are looking for this labour-intensive job who:
· works independently,
· is able to maintain accurate records,
· is able to lift 50 pounds consistently,
· is accustomed to working in all temperatures,
· is skilled with power tools including drills, saws, sanders, and a chainsaw,
· has snow removal experience,
· is skilled in fence repair,
· has some landscaping experience including lawn mowing and weed whacking, and
· has experience working around animals including cows, pigs, goats, and chickens.
In addition, any trade experience such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, engine repair, driving, and the ability to operate a tractor, skid, and/or an excavator is an asset.
A police criminal record check, proof of full COVID-19 Vaccination (2 doses) and proof of eligibility to work in Canada are required.
Possibility for full time hours available.
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 24 per week
Salary: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
